Diagnosis

Diagnostic service

Did you know that an autism diagnosis can be made at any age and at any point in the life cycle?

An accurate diagnosis allows for interventions that support the development of the skills and learning that the individual needs in a personalised and individualised way. Diagnosis can be made at any age and at any point in the lifecycle, taking into account the impact it may have on the personal, social, family, academic or work life of the diagnosed individual.

With a diagnosis, we can offer the person and their family tailored support to meet their specific needs.

The diagnostic process consists of several stages: a clinical interview with the person suspected of having ASD and/or their family members, an assessment using inventories and other standardised tools for diagnosing autism, such as the ADOS-2, and a final feedback stage with a report.

Diagnostic stages:

  • Interview about the person’s clinical history.
  • Evaluation and specific tests to establish the diagnosis.
  • Writing the final report and returning the results.
