Diagnostic service
The foundation advocates for the early detection of autism. With an accurate diagnosis, early intervention enables the development of skills and learning in individuals with ASD. Additionally, the diagnosis can be made at any age and stage of the life cycle, taking into account the potential impact on personal, social, family, academic, and work-related areas. This approach allows us to offer tailored support to meet the specific needs of each individual and their family.
The diagnostic process involves several stages: a clinical interview with the person suspected of having ASD and/or their family members, an assessment using inventories and other standardised autism diagnostic tools such as the ADOS-2, and a final stage in which the results are returned with a report.
Diagnostic stages:
- Interview about the person’s clinical history.
- Evaluation and specific tests to establish the diagnosis.
- Writing the final report and returning the results.
