Personal assistance project
Experimental project of personal assistance for children, adolescents and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or intellectual disabilities.
Personal assistance ensures that people with ASD are able to live outside of an institution and within their community.

TOWARDS A DE-INSTITUTIONALISATION OF CARE FOR DISABLED AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE
The personal assistance project is aligned with international, European and local trends to de-institutionalise care for disabled and vulnerable people, replacing it with community-based services in the person’s home environment, in which the person is actively involved and at the centre of the action. It is also aligned with the central and transformative promise of the 2030 Agenda and its 17 SDGs to: ‘Leave no one behind’.
